One Four Challenge Week 2 – Feb 2015

This is my Week 2 of the One Four Challenge – hosted by Robyn G of the blog, “Captivate Me.”

For my edits today, I used the photo editor, iColorama, and added blue coloring to the water.

One Four Challenge Feb 2015 – Week 1

The beginning of the month brings a brand new image for One Four Challenge, hosted by Robyn G, author of the blog, Captivate Me.

We choose one image which we use for the entire four weeks, and make computer edits on our image each week and sharing the edits we chose to do.

The image that I chose for February is called, The River Bridge. I chose a minor edit for the first week. In the photo editor Aviary, I pulled up the image into Enhance and chose Scenery. That's it.

One Four Challenge Week 4

This week is week 4 for Robyn G’s, One Four Challenge, hosted from her blog, Captivate Me. At the begininning of the month we choose a photograph which we will work with for the entire four weeks. Each week we make computer edits to the photograph and publish the newly edited photo for that week each week. In addition, we are to explain the edits which we made (if we can remember). On the 4th week we are to attach a poll to our post for others to vote for their favorite.  I am sorry to tell you that I did the edits on my 4th week photo about 2 weeks ago and have forgotten what I did.  I think all I did was add more bluing to the water. I apologize for jumping the gun on my 3rd week photo.  (I tend to lose the concept of time/day of the month, since I have retired).

One Four Challenge – Week 3

Robyn G., author of the wonderful blog, Captivate Me, hosts the One Four Photo Challenge each week. We select one photo, which we use for all four weeks of the month. Each week we photo edit our selected photo and explain our edits in our post.

This week, for Week 3, I have chosen to put my photo through Photo Shop Express and make it Black and White. That’s it!  That is all I have done to my photo for this week.

One Four Challenge Week 2

Robyn G., whose blog is, Captivate Me, hosts the One Four Photo Challenge. We select one photo which we use for all four weeks of the month. Each week we photo edit our selected photo and explain our edits in our post.

This week I have taken the original photo and put it in Aviary > Scenery> Portrait. Next, I put the image in iColorama through Brush > Colorize > Blue (the water only). When I colored the water it also colored the white bubbles in the water. Next, in iColorama, I put the image through Effects > Flow, then Adjust > High. This whitened the bubbles and defined the duck a bit more. I am finding this is a difficult image to photo edit so it will be interesting what the results will be for my next two weeks.

This is the image I will be working with this month.

First, I edited it through Pixelmater to give the water a blue tint. Next, I edited in Aviary where I used the Enhance>Scenery and the High Definition and increased the brightness.

One Four Challenge Week 4

This week is Week 4 of Robyn G’s, author of, “Captivate Me,” One Four Challenge. This week I used Week 2’s photo and made the following edits:

iColorama: Style>Coherence

Pixlemater: Colorbalance (+); Green (-); Brightness (+); Temperature (+)

Many people preferred week 2’s photo. Others liked the orange and blue color of week 1. I tried getting the result of all these qualities along with the “painting” effect of Coherence. This is my result:

Which one is your favorite?

(I don’t have a poll yet, so please leave me a comment with your choice. Thank you!)
