FFfAW-A New Taste

My husband and I went to a new restaurant. I was anxious to try some of the new foods. However, not knowing what anything was, I decided to let it be a surprise.

I ended up ordering, Munfushie. I had no idea what it was but I was looking forward to tasting it.

When my plate arrived I saw this strange looking food staring at me. What in the hell is this? I asked. The waiter quickly said,

“Munfushie is a plant found in the high country. It is battered and fried.”

I cautiously tasted it and was pleasantly surprised.

FFfAW-My New Home

I am on my way to my new home. I'm scared because I don't know what to expect. I hope my new owner is good to me and feeds me everyday. But I sure am going to miss my mamma. Thinking about my mamma, I am going to cry because I am going to miss her so much and miss my siblings so much.

Please, please, please let my new owner be nice to me. I hope I am not scared for long. It was sweet of her to adopt me but I sure am going to miss my mamma.

FFfAW-Prom Date

“Hello fine sir, I am here to take Ms. Lacy Grasshopper to the prom.”

“Oh, so you are her beau?”

“No sir, I'm just her date to the prom.”

“We'll do you not want to be her beau?”

“This is just our first date.”

“Well, in that case, she cannot go to the prom with you.”

“But.. but.. I have rented my tux and my…”

“No matter! I don't want any riff raff taking my little girl out!”

“Well sir, in that case, you can call me her beau.”

“Well then, before you know it, you two will be married!”

The grasshopper looks like he is wearing a boutonnière and was on his way to the prom and is why I wrote this story.

FFfAW-Reflection

As I watch the golden orb of the sun sinking into the earth I realize my life too is coming to an end. Maybe tomorrow, maybe twenty years from now but each day brings me closer to that day and I realize how important each day is.

I realize how important it is to cherish each person in your life and to reach for deeper and more meaningful relationships. Friends become special. Family members become more loved.

As I watch this day come to an end, I realize the old me is ending and the new me is just beginning.

FFfAW – Signs

Aliens are here, we have got to hide!” Maddie excitedly told her friend.

Laura tried to calm her down,

“Now Maddie, you know there is no such thing as…”

Maddie stopped her in mid sentence,

“Yes, there is, I saw their writing!” Panting, trying to catch her breath.

“Show me!”

Maddie took Laura to the rock where she saw the writing.

“Here! Now do you believe me?”

Laura laughed,

“This is writing from ancient Americans, the first people to ever inhabit this country.”

Just then, a tiny spaceship landed nearby the rock and both girls took off running as fast as they could.

They didn't hear the man with a remote control start laughing

FFfAW-The Dream

When he saw the steel dragons on top of the building, Martin pulled his car over next to the curb and gawked.

“This was in my dream!” he excitedly told Mervin.

“What was your dream about?” Mervin inquired.

“Well, I was driving down the street and this huge monster came stomping over this building. I remember being very afraid then I woke up.”

“I wonder what would have happened if you hadn't wakened?”

Just as they drove away from the curb, a bear shaped hot air balloon flew over the steel dragons toward the two men.

“Your dream!” laughed Mervin.

FFfAW – Woody and Wanda

The newly married termite couple, Woody and Wanda gazed lovingly at their new home. Woody squeezed Wanda's hand and said,

“It's air conditioned just right. We will never get too hot.”

Wanda affectionately gave Woody a hug.

“We are so fortunate to have such a lovely home. Thank you so much Woody for making this possible for us.”

“Aww, think nothing of it. I worked hard for weeks building this home because I love you so much.”

“Yes, you certainly did! And I love you too!”

Wanda sighed,

“Do we really have to share it with millions of other termites?”
