FFfAW-Cold as Ice

We met for a drink at Manny's Bar, like we have been doing for 4 years.

That warmth you use to emit to me from your loving heart kept me close to you and in your arms.

But now, that warmth is no longer there. You are as cold as ice.

Have you found another to keep warm? One who will meet you every Friday night at Manny's Bar until you become cold as ice to her? How long will it take you? Four years? Two years?

Now, our warmth is over and we have become as cold as ice.

FFfAW-Leaving

Dear John,

I couldn't face you and tell you that I am leaving you. I'm sorry to do it this way but I know you will realize this is for the best.

We have had several great years together and I loved every minute of it. But, I realize, I just cannot continue with this commitment.

It is in my best interest to fly home and continue my education. You know my long-time dream is to become a teacher.

All I am taking with me are my clothing and leaving you with all our other possessions.

Always,

Susan

FFfAW-The Treasured Gift

When my five year old son saw the Army plane hanging in the museum he was adamant that he wanted a toy plane just like that. I have never seen him want anything more than he wanted this plane.

My mission began to find a toy plane like this Army plane, and I found it wasn't an easy feat.

Finally, after becoming desperate, I went on the U.S. Army website and found that I could order a toy Army plane like the one he so adamantly wanted.

He was elated to receive this precious plane for his sixth birthday!

FFfAW-On Time

We fell in love in 2010 and had a wonderful time together going out for coffee and spending romantic time together.

One day he had to move and I was heartbroken. He promised to come see me every year on the date of our anniversary of our falling in love.

Every year since 2010 we have met and proclaimed our love to one another and then he would have to leave again for another year.

Today is September 21, the date of proclaiming our love to one another. I watch out the window and see, he is right on time.

FFfAW-Freezer Burn

I woke up 150 years after being frozen and I didn't recognize the new world I was in at all.

People didn't look like people anymore. They looked more like hay bales with pipes for arms and legs.

I was mortified. I wanted to go back to my time period, the time period I grew up and grew old in. But alas, I could not.

Finally, I asked the manager of the company that had frozen my body.

“What happened, why did you unfreeze me now in this strange and unusual world?”

His answer, “Because you had freezer burn.”

FFfAW-The Missing Body

Dr. Dearborn died. He was the beloved physician loved by many of his patients. It was quite a shock to the town when he passed. Oddly, his body went missing from the funeral home. Very strange thing indeed.

At first, the mortician tried to keep it a secret thinking he would be able to find the missing body. But several days passed without finding Dr. Dearborn's remains.

Finally, Mr. Edwards informed the family that his body had gone missing and that he was very sorry. The family were not concerned. They were sure his body had been raised into heaven.

Dr. Dearborn's body was never found so it was that it had been raised into heaven. They held the funeral with a closed casket. The family grieved in peace believing their loved one was in a better place.
