“Oh, so you are her beau?”
“No sir, I'm just her date to the prom.”
“We'll do you not want to be her beau?”
“This is just our first date.”
“Well, in that case, she cannot go to the prom with you.”
“But.. but.. I have rented my tux and my…”
“No matter! I don't want any riff raff taking my little girl out!”
“Well sir, in that case, you can call me her beau.”
“Well then, before you know it, you two will be married!”
Thank you Mark for our photo prompt this week.
This is my 100 word story for the flash fiction challenge, Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers. We are given a photo prompt that is kindly photographed by our participants and approximately 75-175 words with which to create our stories. It's fun and everyone is invited to participate. For more information, click HERE.
The grasshopper looks like he is wearing a boutonnière and was on his way to the prom and is why I wrote this story.
