FFfAW – Woody and Wanda

The newly married termite couple, Woody and Wanda gazed lovingly at their new home. Woody squeezed Wanda's hand and said,

“It's air conditioned just right. We will never get too hot.”

Wanda affectionately gave Woody a hug.

“We are so fortunate to have such a lovely home. Thank you so much Woody for making this possible for us.”

“Aww, think nothing of it. I worked hard for weeks building this home because I love you so much.”

“Yes, you certainly did! And I love you too!”

Wanda sighed,

“Do we really have to share it with millions of other termites?”

Thank you Yarnspinnerr for our photo prompt this week!

  1. Hi PJ,
it’s early in the morning when I read this story.
It is so sweet. It makes me smile πŸ™‚
Wonderful imagination and this last line depicts feelings of love that Woody and Wanda have in their hearts for each other. I LOVE IT…

  2. Beautiful one, PJ. BTW, usually snakes like cobras make the termite hills as their homes. So, Woody and Wanda better watch out for new slithery roommates.

  3. You brought a wide smile to my face, PJ. This is an adorable story. I can imagine them having
the exchange. The last line was the best. Sometimes, you don’t want to share just hold onto the precious peaceful moments together.
    Isadora 😎

  4. Ahhh very clever! Love the name Woody…hehe. I did not scroll down to see the picture so I was wondering where you were going with your story…love it!! πŸ™‚

I would love to read your thoughts...
