FFfAW – Bikers’ Ball

This year our little town decided to have a “Bikers' Ball” for our Valentines' dance.

The night they all arrived, I was dressed to the nine's ready to go dancing! It was sure to be a fun evening out.

The loud motors hurt my eardrums and the men were all dirty and smelly. My hopes began to diminish.

I was all dressed up and they came in their grimy bikers' clothes. But, I decided to try and have a good time anyway.

One big man came to ask me to dance and I thought I was going to puke. He smelled so bad! I wanted to say, “My God man, haven't you ever heard of a bath?”

Little by little and one by one they asked me to dance and I ended up having the time of my life. Soon, that smell didn't bother me a bit. After all, they live carefree and ride their big beautiful motorcycles on highways and dusty roads!

Thank you Sunayana with MoiPensieve, for our photo prompt this week!

  1. My bike gear was grimy, but I did not smell to bad. But my boots would have crippled your toes. πŸ™‚ by the way it was a great story. mike

  2. You’ve painted a really interesting experience for this woman. Perhaps seeing the actual human beings behind the biker image and allowing her to have fun because like them she just wanted to enjoy herself too. Great connections.

  3. Another example of don’t judge a book by it’s cover…or it’s smell! I have a lot of bikers in my family, fortunately they are not grimey or smelly!! Fun story PJ, so happy she wasn’t too proud and ended up having the time of her life!! A lesson we should take heed of. xo

I would love to read your thoughts...
