FFfAW-The Green Planet

When they landed on the planet, Nesbulia, they noticed that green cocoon looking things hung everywhere they could see.

“Look man, this is really creeping me out. There are all these green cocoon things.” Martin pinched his face as he said it.

Luther stopped suddenly and answered Martin, “Maybe these green cocoon things are their homes.”

Both men proceeded cautiously toward the green cocoons.

Suddenly, a deafening noise sounded and they both stopped in their tracks.

“Who's there?” Demanded a voice from the loud speaker.

“We are friendly people here to meet our planet's neighbors.”

“Stop where you are and go no further!”

Two small men stepped out of the cocoons and walked over to the men.

“We don't have any neighbors.”

The green men reached out their hands in what seemed to be a gesture to shake hands. The men reached out their hands to shake and suddenly they were transformed into inhabitants of green cocoons.

Luther and Martin looked at each other noting that the other had become a beautiful shade of green.”

  1. Oh no, I think they might be stuck on this planet for a while! Definitely something about the prompt that suggests ‘alien’ – I like the idea of them being cocoons. Nice work PJ πŸ™‚

  2. What an interesting and creative interpretation of the photo prompt! I love the idea that these are little houses. I suppose if this is how the aliens react to meeting new people, it could explain why they don’t (anymore) have any neighbors!

  3. Very interesting story, Joy! I’m hoping they really like Green! Also, maybe they are placed there because it is a special place for neighbors, or their guests. I wish them luck! πŸ™‚

  4. Oh dear! I hope they either manage to find a way to transform back to their original selves, or learn to be happy living in their green cocoons. A wonderfully imaginative story, PJ. πŸ™‚

  5. I love the names you come up with! Maybe the planet is Irish and hence all the green. Hope Martin and Luther like their new color and cocoon!! What a fun story PJ. πŸ™‚

I would love to read your thoughts...
