FFfAW-The Fireman’s Valentines Day Ball

I had been looking forward to this party for six months; The Fireman's Valentine's Day Ball. My dress and shoes had been purchased and were waiting for the big day to come.

A fireman friend, Samuel, had asked me to be his date. I was excited because I had had a crush on Samuel for months.

Finally, the big night came and I made sure I looked beautiful. Knee length gown in shimmering silk, beautiful stilletos to match the dress and my makeup and hair done just right. I looked and felt like a princess.

We had so much fun at the ball, dancing, drinking champagne and laughing.

When the evening ended, Samuel escorted me into my house for a cup of coffee. I reached down to take off my shoes and he reached to help. Samuel's smiling face met mine. Our eyes locked.

That was when the stars aligned.
