FFfAW – Friendship

The cloudy gray day looked like I felt. I didn't know why I kept feeling this way, day after crummy day.

I thought I would be happy to see the kids go back to school. But that felt as though something important was missing.

Then, my friend, Katie called, asking me to meet her at the China Boat for lunch. We had a wonderful lunch, catching up on gossip after not seeing each other for most of the summer and we laughed and laughed.

I went home feeling much lighter, realizing what I was missing. I just needed my friend.

  1. AHH!! Friends are the best! Cute story! And reminded me of when my girls were little and went back to school. I had to go have lunch with a friend also to feel better πŸ™‚

  2. It is so nice to be able to switch from your regular routine to a different one and have a friend help accomplish that with a nice friendship luncheon. She had her kids back in school and was able to start her new schedule off with catching up on things with her friend. Very nice story, Joy. I’m sure there are many parents out there that are gald their children are back in school, but are in need of a good way to start getting use to a new routine in their life. πŸ™‚

  5. It’s so true, we all need a dear friend who can lift our spirits when they need lifting! I am fortunate to have such a friend. A few of my wordpress friends do the same and I consider you one of them!! Love this story, PJ! xo
