The cloudy gray day looked like I felt. I didn't know why I kept feeling this way, day after crummy day.
I thought I would be happy to see the kids go back to school. But that felt as though something important was missing.
Then, my friend, Katie called, asking me to meet her at the China Boat for lunch. We had a wonderful lunch, catching up on gossip after not seeing each other for most of the summer and we laughed and laughed.
I went home feeling much lighter, realizing what I was missing. I just needed my friend.

I like this very different and nice, a friend makes things better!
Thanks Lyn! Friends always make things better. ๐
for sure!
Lyn, did you know that you can use the bottom area of your blog for advertisement and make money on it? It isn’t a whole lot of money but it is some. I think with the traffic you have on your blog they would take you in a heartbeat. (The advertisement place). WordPress has more on this.
Wow thanks! Would that make people annoyed? I don’t want to annoy anyone or lose friends? I never thought it could make money hmmm
It is only a small space that they use. The blogs that I read that have advertisements don’t annoy me. You can contact WordPress and they can give you more information on it and get you set up or send you to the place to get set up.
hmm thanks so much! I need the income so I will ask them for sure! your a gem!
I’m glad I told you about it then!
Thanks!
Sure! ๐
๐
Have you ever been to blogs that have advertisement on the bottom? Did it annoy you?
I think I did but didn’t pay attention and no it would not bother me at all!
Yes, that will give you a chance to make a little money from your blog!
yes that would be nice!
What a wonderful feeling. To have that void filled when you weren’t even sure how to. ๐
LOL! It sure is a good feeling! Friends are awesome. ๐
I really like that first line.
Thank you J.A.! I appreciate that.
Oh! This is so true! Friends can definitely make a difference in our lives. ๐ Great story! ๐
Thank you Fun! Yes, that is true!
It is so nice to be able to switch from your regular routine to a different one and have a friend help accomplish that with a nice friendship luncheon. She had her kids back in school and was able to start her new schedule off with catching up on things with her friend. Very nice story, Joy. I’m sure there are many parents out there that are gald their children are back in school, but are in need of a good way to start getting use to a new routine in their life. ๐
Thank you Jessie! Yes, that is true. They need a friend to start their new change in their lives on a positive note.
An afternoon with a friend can be uplifting. It’s a good way to relax and learn. Who doesn’t enjoy a bit of fun now and then. Great story about friendship. Insightful …!!!
