FFfAW-The Date

Tiffany laid her head on the table, tears slipping from her eyes marking a dark path down her cheek.

David finally asked her out and to go for dinner and to the opera. She was more than excited!

“I found the most stunning dress and made sure I looked beautiful for our date. Why has he not shown up?” she thought.

*****

As soon as they pulled David from the wreck, the ambulance rushed him to the hospital. They found Tiffany's name and phone number in his pocket.

*****

Believing it was David calling, Tiffany rushed to answer the phone.

  1. A frightening first date! If he survives, she’ll be relieved to know that he didn’t stand her up… not intentionally at least. And if they get married, it’ll be quite the story to tell the kids!

  2. I also hope for happy ending. Maybe David was out to get a surprise for Tiffany and ended up that way. It’ll be sad if they are destined not to be together.

  3. OMG, that hits so close to home. Yesterday on my way to work the traffic was all backed up, there was a car in the median all smashed up and a blanket over the windshield. They only put blankets on windshields when people die and sure enough the news reported a male had died in the accident. It was so sad. Your writing was wonderful, very captivating. I don’t read any stories until after I’ve posted mine as I don’t want to be influenced. Sad but very well written.

  4. So much heart=wrenching drama in such a short glimpse, but oh goodness, I could really feel it! Great story, and such a perfect fit for the photo prompt.. I will add my name to the list of people who hope that David is still alive. After all, they did rush him to the hospital, so at least he wasn’t dead on arrival — that gives me hope!

I would love to read your thoughts...
