FFfAW-Two Dozen Roses

The audience began clapping as soon as Leah walked onto the stage while the orchestra tuned their instruments. Bright blue lights suddenly beamed on her making her feel like she was the only person in the room.

After five beautiful, mesmerizing songs, Leah, bowed to the audience and slipped to the back of the stage as the curtains closed. The audience started clapping and whistling. Leah ran back to the stage and took another bow.

Ecstatic, she ran to her dressing room and waiting for her were two dozen red roses and a note.

“I love you, my darling wife.”

  3. Another great story which just proves that sometimes less is more. Condensed writing but increased pleasure.

  4. Leah’s stage appearance was such a success and the audience just loved her. The two dozen roses from her husband were the icing on the cake. I could feel the joy ouzing from this little story, PJ. ๐Ÿ™‚
