What is Love?

What is Love?

Today I was generously and lovingly selected by the author, Millie Thom, to spread the Love from the blog of hashtaglove, who decided to do something a little different and interesting for Valentine’s Day. It is a challenge to spread the Love. I mean, it is a “Challenge” to “Spread the Love.” Each person nominated is asked to write ten, 4 word sentences about love and what they believe love is.

Next we are to write our favorite love quotes from a book, a movie, or from a famous person.

Last, we are to tag ten bloggers and ask them to spread the Love.

1. Love comforts hurts and pains.

2. Unconditional love encompasses love.

3. Love is kind. (oops, only 3 words). Love is REALLY kind.

4. Love is patient. Love is REALLY patient.

5. Know Love Know Happiness.

6. No Love No Happiness.

7. Love is sometimes soft.

8. Love is joyful life.

9. Love offers us friendship.

10. Love others, love yourself.

I would like to share a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson which I think speaks about Love.

Oh, what is life without a friend

To dissipate our gloom?

A path where naught but briers grow.

Where flowers never bloom.

Tis friends who make this desert world

To blossom as the rose,

Strew flowers o’er our rugged path,

Pour sunshine o’er our woes.

I would like to nominate the following bloggers:

Irod with the blog: Irod’s Blog

Jodi with the blog: LifeInbetween

Kirsten with the blog: Kirsten Aufhammer

Deb with the blog: My Weary Mind

Mark with the blog: Mark Bialczak

Dawn with the blog: Lingering Visions

Ameena with the blog: Randoms by a Random

Lisa with the blog: Hey Sparky! What Time Is It?

Joy Roses with the blog: Nuggets of Gold

Kim with the blog: Drunk on Life

    • I hurried through my sentences since I had so much on my plate. If you don’t have time to do it, don’t feel like you have to. It does feel good to do them though. I wish I had just put out an open nomination and let anyone who would like to do it do it instead of nominating 10 people. That might make it easier for you if you do it that way??

      • I have done them both ways on my old blog. I nominated sometimes and other times made it open. I always have a hard time just picking a couple of people!! I think you did a great job with the sentences especially since I now know you had to hurry :-). I am truly honored that you nominated me and I look forward to doing it! If I can’t come up with the 10 sentences, I will do what I come up with :-). I already have the quote I want to use!!

    • Thank you! I almost sent one to you but I was afraid you were too busy. After I sent it out, I wish I had left it open for anyone who would like to do it, do it. I think it will eventually get all the way around, but I still wish I had done it that way. It really made me feel good to do it.

      • It was lovely. And thank you for your consideration. I am drowning in my blog these past three weeks. Suddenly I can’t keep up with comments and other people’s blogs. I feel horrible when all I can do is read others and hit “like” but I want them to know I was there. If only blogging paid and gave benefits! πŸ˜‰

I would love to read your thoughts...
