lovely photo. Always love shots of ducks and water birds, despite their calm demeanour above the water you don’t see the frantic action treading water below the surface. Sage advice for life, despite what you might see of people on the surface you don’t know how hard they are treading water below the surface.
This duck appeared calm but he sure had his focused on me. Maybe because his lady friend was nearby but not in the photo.
That is a lovely photo and the shadow of the duck is PERFECT. ๐
Thank you very much! ๐
Lovely !!!! ๐ This week I have one pic for the theme too,I had skipped the last two because I had not what I wanted ! Why am I telling you this ? Because mine is water based too,I visited the small lake nearby …. I love the water and the reflections like the one in yours and ofcourse the ripples โค
Thank you! I have to tell you that I am an amateur photographer and if any of my photos turn out at all it is a miracle. Haha! I don’t know why my photo turned out like that but I kind of liked it. I think that’s wonderful you went and took pictures of water. I look forward to seeing them!! I have been trying to view all the submissions but there are so many I don’t know if I will be able to view all of them. I do hope I get to see yours though. ((Hugs!)) xo
I was thinking of today but today did Sat stories,so will do it tomorrow in my colorpalette blog. ๐
I wonder if I am following your color palette blog??
I am not sure ๐ But here’s the link in case you want to see it–

Thank you Ady!
Thank you very for showing interest ๐
I am interested! ๐
oh, how ducky is this! ๐
LOL! Thank you! (I think) ๐
I like these ripples in water!
I can feel this disturbance in water and the quack quack of duck is audible to me:)
Great shot. I like the shadow head.
Thank you!
I forgot to say, I love the painting in your header.
Thank you! That is actually a photograph with the “painting” effect.
I didn’t know that existed. What program do you have?
iColorama. It is for iPads and tablets.
Oh well. Don’t have. Too bad.
If you use a desktop or laptop then you have access to a lot more than I do. Maybe you can do a Google search for ‘photo editors.’ I think that probably all the larger editors have the “paint” effect.
OK thanks.
Great picture! I absolutely love the shadows, the reflections, and the duck!
Thank you very much!
This is beautiful!!! I love it. And what is the duck looking at ๐
What is the duck looking at? Probably keeping one eye on me and the other eye on his lady friend that was close by. She wasn’t close enough to get a picture of her too (in this photo). ๐ Besides, she doesn’t have the pretty colors.
Hahaha ๐ yeah, this duck is indeed pretty, all the ones i get to see are the plain colored ones.
The female ducks in this species are plain brown. Why do the males get all the luck? haha
Oh, and thank you!!
